Chris Surrey founded PaintBox Laboratories in 2006, after 14 years of multi-cultural and general market advertising experience. A creative visionary and strategist, Chris has focused his creative talents on integration of emerging, interactive, and entertainment media. His vision of a cross-cultural team of strategists is realized in PaintBox Laboratories.
Prior experience includes work at MRM Partners/McCann-Erickson, McClain Finlon, Cline Davis Mann, The Cartel Group, NuAmerica Agency, Ogilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG, TBWA, and UniWorld Group. As a Senior Creative at Deutsch Inc., he co-created a national campaign for Domino’s Pizza called “Bad Andy. Good Pizza” which landed the account. His extensive experience in the viral and guerrilla marketing world included crafting non-traditional marketing for such clients as 1-800-Collect, GNC, Volvo, Burger King, 3Musketeers, New Balance, Budget Truck Rental, A&W Root Beer, PCH, Ford, MCI, and Bank of America.

Mallie Mickens is the Director and Founder of Pixod Studio, a brand communications group that delivers design, development, and creative direction for today’s leading and emerging brands. He provides the creative direction and process for all emerging media content produced at PaintBox Laboratories. His vision steers the development, production and commercial application of projects ranging from interactive and mobile content development, to standalone applications and broadcast design.
Mr. Mickens established Pixod (formerly WaterSquare Studio) in 2003, where his strong vision, coupled with a unique aesthetic, has led to award winning commissions for brands such as Adidas, Sony/Columbia Records, Iman Cosmetics, Enyce, SofistaFunk, J Records and AOL. He played an integral role in helping BlackPlanetLove.com grow to be a primary revenue model for CommunityConnect Inc. Mallie's cross-cultural creative expertise has guided projects for three of the largest ethnic web communities, BlackPlanet.com, Migente.com, and AsianAvenue.com.

Pete Ondeng is the Chairman of Project54Tour. He is also the Africa Regional Advisor to the Millennium Promise Alliance. He is an economic development specialist with twenty four years of professional experience in the fields of financial services and business development. Pete qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1984 in the U.S. where he began his career as an internal auditor for McDonalds Corporation. Since then, he has served in leadership positions for a number of private and public sector organizations in over 15 countries.
Pete is a motivational speaker, trainer and, until recently, the host of a popular prime time television program in Kenya called “Money Matters”. He is the author of two books: How to Start Your Own Small Business (1989) and Africa’s Moment (2004).
